This Pigeon Finds A Hot Dog storytime inspired treats post is courtesy of our contributor Chantelle of Dolled Up Design…I love parties inspired by books. There is so much inspiration to be found in your child's favourite book and it can be easy to plan a whole party around one favorite book, like I did with my son's Go, Dog! Go Party, or to draw inspiration for games, treats and decorations from a series of books. My kid's party themes usually come from their favorite tv or movie characters, but when there is an opportunity to theme a party or treats around a storybook character I gladly jump at the opportunity.
Before the game begins, place the board between you and your opponent, long side facing you. You will see two rows of six 'holes', with a long 'mancala' on each end. The board is divided into two parts: Your side. https://tilicowar1973.mystrikingly.com/blog/how-to-win-mancala-on-game-pigeon. Whenever you pick up a single stone from that hole as your move, you will score a point and get another move. Clay Pigeon is a paid arcade-style. The biggest key to win Mancala is planning ahead. Sometimes, it's good that some of your stones are being raided. Winning Mancala requires continual planning and calculating, so going second isn't an instant loss. One extra stone in your mancala can make the difference to win or to lose. Understand that timing is crucial in this game. To take a screenshot with your Mac, Command + Shift + 3 and then release all keys to captuer the whole screen, or press Command + Shift + 4 and press down. Strategies for Winning at Mancala If you are going first, starting with your third hole is generally considered to be the best opening move. This will land your last piece in your mancala zone, not only scoring you a point but immediately giving you a second move before your turn is over.

Who is the main character in The Pigeon finds a Hot Dog?
My kids don't go to bed without a nightly bedtime story. We have a large and ever-growing book collection, and there have been a few favorites that have stuck out and been read repeatedly. My son was introduced to the author Mo Willems in his kindergarten class this past year and the Pigeon and Elephant & Piggie books quickly became part of our regular rotation. So, when it came time to bring a snack in for the Kindergarten class, a treat themed after these books and characters seemed a natural choice.

I came across candy coated Oreo's on Pinterest that looked like the Pigeon character they had been studying, and I knew they would pair perfectly with shortbread hotdogs just like in the Mo Willem's book The Pigeon Finds A Hot Dog!
To make the Pigeon Oreo's, I began by creating the eyes. To do this, I laid white candy wafers on a parchment lined baking sheet and melted them slightly in a preheated 200 degree oven for 4 minutes. Once they were soft, I carefully placed a brown chocolate Smartie into the center of each and then allowed them to harden again.
To prepare the beaks, I simply cut yellow candy wafers in half and then opened up the two halves to create the beak shape. I spread these apart on parchment paper in preparation for the coated Oreo's I would be placing on top.
Once my blue candy wafers were melted, I began dipping the Golden Oreo's. After each cookie was fully coated I lifted it out with two forks and then carefully placed it on one of the prepared beaks. I finished it off by placing my white candy wafer and brown Smartie eyes in the center.

For the hot dog cookies, I followed this easy recipe from Taste of Home. Once they were finished off with a drizzle of yellow royal icing 'mustard', they looked just like the hot dog in the book.
I loved the way the final product looked packaged in small cellophane bags and ready for my excited little kindergartner to hand out to his class. Pigeon game ps4.
